MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Bloomingdale Police Department is to prevent crime, preserve order and to protect the rights, lives, and property of the citizens of Bloomingdale. The success of the mission depends upon a continuous effort to increase awareness and develop higher levels of trust and understanding among police officers and the community. We shall continuously strive towards attaining excellence by providing our employees with fair and effective leadership, supervision and training. BPD NOW UTILIZING BODY WORN CAMERAS
The Bloomingdale Police Department is now using Body-worn cameras, in compliance with New Jersey Attorney General Guidelines. Law enforcement agencies are using body-worn cameras in various ways: to improve evidence collection, to strengthen officer performance and accountability, to enhance agency transparency, to document encounters between police and the public, and to investigate and resolve complaints and officer involved incidents.

U-VISAS & T-VISAS
The Bloomingdale Police Department is committed to providing noncitizens with information on how to obtain a U-Visa or a T-Visa.
All complaints of our officers are handled in accordance to Attorney General Guidelines and Directives.
